As a tapestry artist, I strive to produce weavings that speak, not only to myself, but also to others. My work draws from memories and the history of the places to which I feel strongly tied. Sometimes stories and photographs aid me, but just the feeling of a space can inspire a vision.
Norway’s majestic beauty and heart-stirring history towered over my childhood as my Norwegian parents fed me a rich diet of heroes and imagination. Beginning in England, I have lived in many countries over the years before finally settling in Florida. As our children grew up and my time became my own, I immersed myself in the profoundly satisfying work of tapestry, where colour, texture, and a deep sense of focus fed my soul.
